A bit of History
THE HOSPITAL :
The 230 bedded hospital, with modern infrastructure as following sections :
-Medical
-Surgical including Urology, Neurology, Plastic, Pediatric surgery and Cardio Thoracic with 3 OTs
-Gynecology
-Orthopedic
-E.N.T
-Ophthalmology
-Pediatric
-Neurology
All the above are supported by the Sterilization Housekeeping, laundry & linen service; food service deptartement, pharmacy and maintenance and material management department.
THE OUT PATIENTS DEPARTMENT :
A new OPD block was inaugurated in 2003 which allowed us to include many new sections such as Dental, Dermatology,
Gastroentology, Psychiatry, Audiology, PET, Psychotherapy and physiotherapy !
Dispensing arrangements for both allopathy and homeopathy medicines have been provided in the OPD Poor and Needy Patients get all the above facilities either free or at a very concession rate. The general charges are kept at a very low rate, taking the socio- economical status of the patients in consideration. From April 2006 to March 07, 245974 patients were treated !
We have Radiology, Electro Therapy, Echo-cardiography, Clinical and Pathological Laboratory with auto analyser and Computer, Ultrasonography, and Endoscopy.
INTEGRATED RURAL WELFARE AT RAMPUR :
-A mobile dispensary goes to village Rampur in Mirzapur District U. P. once a week ( 9000 beneficiaries per year).
-A local Trust Body named "Ramakrishna Sevashrama"has come up out of this venture. Women were given stiching machines and
were trained to make bags, caps, embroideries... to empower them
financially.
-A coaching school was started with 40 children (all marginal classes) to prepare and encourage them to go to school.They are also provided with nutritious snacks daily. Our Health Promotion Programme also covers this backward area.
OLD AGE HOMES :
We have separate Old Age Homes for men and women in our premises housing around 40 members each.
WIDOWS´ WELFARE :
Every month about 175 widows staying outside near the ghats are given cash help of Rs. 200.
GOSHALA :
We have a Dairy with 65 cattle heads producing an average of 400 litres of milk daily for all patients and inmates.
OUR IMMEDIATE NEEDS :
-Generator Set for the Hospital (Capacity 250 K V A Cost Rs 13 Lakh).
-Funds to defray the Establishment Expenses of the Hospital.-Hospital Development fund for reconstruction and Equipment. -Medicine fund for poor and needy.
-Fund for mobile medical unit.
-Sadhu Seva Fund.
